On 8 June 2026, Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil, in the presence of Prof. Dr Shukur Qarani Aziz, Acting Dean of the College of Engineering, welcomed a delegation from Erbil Makers Hub.
The purpose of the meeting was to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering joint cooperation for students of the College of Engineering, particularly those in the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments.
It is worth noting that during the summer break, students from these two departments will be able to undertake practical training in the workshops of the aforementioned organisation. Subsequently, the students will be supported in obtaining internship opportunities with various companies.
At present, the organisation receives support from the German agency GIZ.
