Salahaddin University – Erbil, through its Directorate of Health and Safety, in coordination with the General Directorate of Medical Laboratories, organised a workshop entitled “Confronting Breast Cancer.”
The event was attended by Mr Arian Hussein Dzayee, Director of Health and Safety, alongside representatives from the Erbil Traffic Directorate, the Environmental and Forestry Police Directorate of Erbil, and the College of Law. Participants shared diverse insights and professional experiences related to cancer awareness and prevention.
During the workshop, Dr Sami Salim delivered a seminar titled “Awareness of Breast Cancer,” focusing on the importance of early detection and public health education.
This was followed by Mr Jihad Sayed Yaqoob, who presented a session on “Understanding Medical Laboratories,” highlighting their essential role in diagnostic procedures.
Dr Ahmed Abdulqadir gave a presentation on “The Role of Laboratories in Diagnosing Breast Diseases,” emphasising the contribution of clinical analysis to early detection and treatment.
A session on “How to Conduct Early Screening for Women” was also delivered, addressing practical approaches to preventive healthcare.
