Today, on 10 September 2025, with the attendance of Omed Khoshnaw - Governor of Erbil, Prof. Dr Kamaran Younus M. Amin - President of Salahadin University-Erbil, Dr Diyar Jabari - representative of the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, Prof. Dr Idris Harki - President of the Polytechnic University, Dr. Abdullah Said Waisi - President of the Union of Islamic Religious Scholars of Kurdistan, Prof. Dr Hussein Saadi - Vice President of the University, Tayyib Sherwani - General Director of Endowments, Jutyar Barzani - KDP Second Branch Administrator, Dr Amanj Bradosti - University District Head, Prof. Dr Jamil Surchi - Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Kanan Khaylani - Head of the KDP in the Erbil Provincial Council, along with party and government officials and university council members, department heads and professors, the Seventh Scientific Conference on Love and Compassion in the Prophet's (PBUH) Sunnah was held.
At the beginning of the conference, the President of SUE delivered a speech and pointed out that the Prophet's (PBUH) Sunnah is an important and fundamental part of Islamic sources that comes after the Quran, and its importance for human life is multifaceted, including: "Guidance for understanding the Quran, the Prophet's (PBUH) moral example and behavior is known as the best ethics and conduct, the Sunnah is a special example of compassion, justice, good relationships with people, and mercy toward living beings and the environment, a life companion for humans at all times - the Sunnah is not only for religious matters, but provides guidance for sleep, eating, clothing, economic dealings, family relationships, and social partnerships."
