At the start of the event, the President of SUE welcomed participants and highlighted the path and charismatic legacy of Mulla Mustafa Barzani in the Kurdish struggle, before underlining that the 1961 September Revolution, launched amid political, cultural and economic injustice, stands as a landmark of Kurdish resistance for rights. He added that it embodies loyalty and respect and that today’s ceremony also recognises teachers who have served and struggled for their community.
Salahaddin University-Erbil regards it as its duty to cooperate with the party’s organisations in academic and cultural activities, to remind young people of Kurdish revolutions and the struggle of the Kurdish leadership, and to work towards building a vibrant society.
