Today, on December 10, 2024, at Salahadin University-Erbil (SUE), a Korean language course was successfully completed, with 25 participants receiving certificates from the university president.
In the presence of Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of SUE, Prof. Dr Sherif Maulud Sherif, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Mr Shakhawan Sediq, Director of the Language Centre, and Seungcheol Lim, Consul General of the South Korean Consulate, graduation certificates were distributed to Korean language course participants.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the university president highlighted the importance of this course and wished success to all graduates. He also emphasized the academic relationship between SUE and Korean universities, expressing hope to establish a Korean language department in the future.
In response, Seungcheol Lim, Consul General of the South Korean Consulate in Erbil, expressed satisfaction with the partnership between SUE and the South Korean Consulate. The Consul General noted that the first Korean language learning course at SUE was successfully conducted and will continue.
Mr Seungcheol further indicated that he is committed to creating academic connections between SUE and prominent South Korean universities.
