Salahaddin University has opened a new Molecular Genetics Department within the Biology Division of the College of Science for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The establishment of this new department offers a major service to students and aligns with the labour market, helping graduates to secure employment opportunities.
At present, several advanced laboratories specialising in molecular genetics have been established in cities across the Kurdistan Region, creating a continuous demand for graduates of this new department.
The curriculum of the department has been prepared in line with the programmes of leading international universities.
Molecular genetics has become a cornerstone of modern life sciences and plays an important role in identifying diseases such as cancer, autism and many other conditions.
