A delegation of staff members from Salahaddin University-Erbil has been invited to Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, to participate in the seminar on cloud computing and big data network development strategy.
The training program, organized by the Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, took place from August 7 to August 27, 2025, and brought together experts and participants from developing countries.
The venue, located in Wuhan – a major centre for science, technology, and education in China – served as the main hub for lectures, seminars, and professional exchange.
During the three-week program, participants received in-depth training in a wide range of fields, including cloud computing and big data integration, 5G technology applications, artificial intelligence in data centers, network information security, IoT solutions, smart city infrastructure, optical network applications, and China’s national big data industry strategies.
The courses also covered digital transformation in education and the development of digital government platforms. Alongside the lectures, the program featured study visits to leading institutions and technology companies in Wuhan, as well as field trips to Shanghai, Suzhou, and Yichang, offering participants valuable insights into China’s progress in digital innovation and smart city development.
