On 16 and 17 April 2025, Prof. Dr Abdulkarim Yaseen Kareem, Dean of the College of Science, and Prof. Dr Abbas Burhan Salihi, Director of Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development, represented Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) at the “Artificial Intelligence Summit in Iraq.”
The summit was hosted by Al-Maarif University in the city of Ramadi, with the participation of a high-level delegation of government officials, including the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq, as well as several prominent political and academic figures.
During the event, Prof. Dr Abdulkarim Yaseen Kareem presented a commemorative plaque on behalf of Salahaddin University-Erbil to Prof. Dr Ahmed Abdulmalik Abdulrahman, President of Al-Maarif University. He also conveyed the greetings and regards of Asst. Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil. The hosts expressed their appreciation for the participation of the SUE delegation and both parties agreed to work towards signing a memorandum of understanding between the two universities soon.
