Renowned Polish Kurdologist Professor Awarded Certificate of Appreciation and Shield from Salahaddin University-Erbil
In a special ceremony held at the Department of Kurdish Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies, an event was organized to honour Professor Andrzej Pisowicz, a distinguished Polish Kurdologist. The event was overseen by Professor Joanna Bocheńska.
Attended by the representative of Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE), Ziyad Raoof, the Kurdistan Regional Government's representative in Poland, and Professor Dr. Farhang Muhammad, a faculty member from the Kurdish Research Department at SUE, a certificate of appreciation and the university shield were presented to Professor Andrzej Pisowicz.
This honour was bestowed upon Professor Pisowicz in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of Kurdish studies, his many years of teaching the Kurdish language, and for authoring a book on learning the Kurdish language.
The event highlights the ongoing academic collaboration and cultural exchange between Kurdish and Polish institutions in the field of Kurdish studies.
