On Sunday, 23 June 2025, Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE), welcomed a delegation from the Kurdistan Foundation. The meeting was attended by Dr Awara Ibrahim, Director of International Relations; Mr Saman Abdullah, Director of Media; Mr Hussein Ahmad, Director of the Career Development Centre (CDC); and Mr Fuhad Jasem, Director of the President’s Office at SUE.
The visiting delegation from the Kurdistan Foundation was headed by Ms Yara Barzinji, Executive Director, and included Mr Ahmad Safa, Director of Logistics; Mr Hamza Faryad, Director of the KRD Jobs Programme; Mr Sokar Hama-Sharif, Director of the KRD Volunteer Programme; and Ms Sozan Mirawadeli, Director of Media.
The primary purpose of the visit was to formally sign a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at fostering academic collaboration between the two institutions to better serve university students.
During the meeting, the President of SUE expressed his appreciation for the visit and affirmed the university’s readiness to engage in any academic cooperation that would contribute to the development of students and youth across the region.
In turn, the Kurdistan Foundation delegation praised the role of Salahaddin University and its teams, recognising their valuable contribution and continued support of the Foundation’s initiatives from its establishment to the present day.
