On 6 January 2026, Professor Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University–Erbil, honoured a group of academic staff members in the presence of the Vice Presidents of the University and several officials. The ceremony recognised lecturers who achieved national-level awards across Iraq.
It is worth noting that on 21 December 2025, the Eighth Symposium of Outstanding Papers was held through a joint initiative between the Kaysaneen Organisation and the University of Halabja.
During this symposium, three faculty members from Salahaddin University received awards among the top ten outstanding academic papers at the national level in Iraq. The award recipients were:
Professor Dr Abdulkarim Yasin, College of Science
Assistant Professor Dr Dara Khurshid Mohammed, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences
Assistant Professor Dr Dler Hussein Qadir, College of Administration and Economics
Among all universities in the Kurdistan Region, researchers from Salahaddin University were the only ones to receive awards for the best outstanding academic papers.
