Professor Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University – Erbil, accompanied by Professor Dr Hussein Saadi, Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and Dr Awara Ibrahim, Director of Public Relations, paid an official visit to the Foras Organisation in Baghdad on 11 October 2026.
It is worth noting that, in the recent past, the President of Salahaddin University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Foras Organisation, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of scientific development in Iraq.
The organisation works actively on advancing scientific projects and supporting Iraqi youth through initiatives under the title “Developing Scientific Projects and Empowering Iraqi Youth.”
During the visit, the university delegation also toured the Scientific Centre for Chemical Analysis, where they were introduced to the centre’s advanced analytical equipment, including GC (Gas and Liquid Chromatography), Atomic Absorption, HPLC, SEM, and X-RD systems. The centre collaborates with several national and international universities on a wide range of research and analytical studies.
Currently, the Foras Organisation, in partnership with an American university, is running an online training course for students of Salahaddin University – Erbil, further strengthening academic and professional ties between the two institutions.
