On 16 October 2025, Professor Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University – Erbil (SUE), together with Professor Dr Hussein Saadi, Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Mr Zahir Zahir, Head of the Qalat Branch, and Dr Awara Ibrahim, Director of Public Relations, welcomed fourteen students from SUE who will travel to Germany under the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) programme.
The students, all from the Department of German Language, will spend a designated period in Germany to enhance their German language proficiency and gain cultural experience, through a joint initiative between SUE and DAAD Germany.
The President expressed his gratitude to DAAD Germany and to the College of Languages for their ongoing collaboration. He encouraged the students to act as ambassadors of SUE during their stay abroad, highlighting the role and experience of the Kurdistan Region in fostering peace and cultural understanding.
He further urged them to maintain strong coordination and academic engagement with both their peers and the academic staff at the German universities they will attend.
