On 10 December 2025, Professor Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of the SUE received Mr Kamel Dorrai, Head of the French Institute, together with an accompanying delegation, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr Mousa Mohammed, Dean of the College of Arts, and a number of university administrators.
The meeting aimed to renew the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions in order to initiate specialised training courses for the Departments of Archaeology and Sociology, with particular emphasis on the study of ancient languages
