On 12 May 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil, welcomed Dr Hemn Fazil Najmaddin, Head of the Supplier Accreditation Centre at the Prime Minister’s Office, during an official visit. Dr Awara Ibrahim, Director of University Relations, also attended the meeting.
Dr Kamaran expressed his appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the university's readiness to cooperate and provide all necessary support for joint initiatives.
During the meeting, Dr Hemn highlighted the importance of coordination between academic institutions and government bodies, especially in enhancing technical infrastructure. He emphasised plans for future collaboration with SUE, particularly in the development and accreditation of scientific laboratories in line with international standards.
He also proposed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the university to strengthen academic cooperation, facilitate the exchange of international expertise, and organise educational and professional training programmes aimed at improving the capabilities of both students and academic staff.
