On Saturday, 29 June 2025, Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University–Erbil, received Asst. Prof. Dr Karzan Sheikh Mohsen, a faculty member at SUE, to formally express appreciation and present a certificate of recognition for surpassing 100,000 citations on Google Scholar.
This marks a historic academic milestone, as Dr Karzan becomes the first university professor in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq to reach this remarkable citation count.
