The Department of Water Resources Engineering at the College of Engineering, Salahaddin University-Erbil, held its first exhibition of student-designed miniature engineering models.
The event featured a wide range of detailed models representing key areas within water and geotechnical engineering. These included water distribution systems, elevation models of terrains, springs, hydrology systems, soil improvement techniques, environmental sustainability, innovative approaches to glass recycling, renewable energy solutions, and tunnel engineering.
Adding a creative dimension to the exhibition, visual boards designed by first- and fourth-year students were also displayed, combining artistic expression with technical innovation.
The exhibition not only showcased the students’ design skills and technical knowledge but also emphasised the department’s commitment to hands-on education and the development of practical engineering abilities.
This important event marked a significant step in enhancing practical learning and served as a source of inspiration for the department’s future growth and innovation.
