SUE President sends a congratulatory message to the Kurdish people on the occasion of the 1991 Kurdish Uprising which reads as follows.
"On the anniversary of the Kurdish people's uprising against the oppression of the former Iraqi regime, on behalf of the council of Salahaddin University, teachers, students, and employees, I congratulate the resistant Kurdish people and the proud families of the martyrs.
"The Kurdish people's uprising proved that the Kurdish people do not accept subjugation and are in favour of freedom and justice.
This great uprising succeeded with the blood of brave and fearless Kurdish youth and became a historic turning point for the Kurdish people."
