SUE President welcomes Deputy Consul General of Germany in Erbil
To strengthen relations and foster collaborations between the Consulate General of Germany in Erbil and Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE), Deputy Consul General Sven Mossler paid a visit to SUE and was received by the President of the University Asst. Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis Mohammedamin.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Consul mentioned that they have maintained collaborations with KRG and SUE.
In addition, Mr Mossler also expressed a willingness of the Consulate for supporting the University, particularly of the German Department at the College of Languages.
Now at the German Department, 100 students pursue their undergraduate studies and the University has a plan to increase that number next year.
The Deputy Consul expressed happiness that Kurdish students in KRI in SUE study at the German Department.
SUE presented a number of books by Dr Faryad Fazil to the Deputy Consul; the books were translated into German.
In the meeting, they also talked about the collaborations between SUE and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. 100 instructors from the College of Basic Education of SUE have visited Germany to the mentioned university so far.
At the end of the meeting, the University President thanked the delegation and present the SUE logo to the Deputy Consul General.
