On 7 November 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE), hosted a meeting with Mr Sarbaz Sheikh Najib, Co-Director and Executive of the Institute of Dahenan u Nwegari (Innovation and Modernization), along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Hussein Saadi - Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Shareef Maulod Shareef - Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, and several college deans.
The President of SUE expressed his pleasure regarding this meeting and highlighted the university's coordination and relationships with other universities and governmental and non-governmental institutions.
Sarbaz Sheikh Najib expressed his hope for future collaborative academic work to serve researchers and innovators and develop their capabilities.
The Institute of Innovation and Modernization is an initiative of Mr Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, who also chairs its board. The institute is dedicated to supporting and enabling innovative individuals and inventors to showcase their innovations through this platform.
The institute's outputs and achievements are aligned with the Kurdistan Regional Government's objectives. The Prime Minister has described the establishment of this institute as a significant turning point toward societal development.
The establishment of this institution is crucial for developing youth capabilities and talents, as well as advancing the economy.
