
Third Shared Symposium On Engineering In Salahaddin University Erbil
As part of the MEGI German-Iraqi project for mechanical engineering, the third symposium was held in the Cultural and Social Center of Salahaddin University-Erbil. The symposium was focused on finding a link between the universities and other institutes outside higher education. The symposium was arranged mutually by Freiberg University, DAAD and nine other universities in Iraq. The university participants were Salahaddin University-Erbil, Baghdad University of Technology, Erbil Polytechnic University, Nahrain University, Ishik University, Koya University, Duhok Polytechnic University, Mosul University, and Diyala University.
In the symposium, the Consul General of Germany in Erbil and the University president Dr Ahmed Dezaye were also present in which the University president delivered a speech highlighting the progress particularly in the rankings among local and international universities.
This was followed by a speech delivered by the Dean of College of Engineering Dr Nazhad Hussain emphasizing the importance of the relation between the higher education institutes and the needs of the job market.
