
Towards a Civic Constitution for Kurdistan Region
On 9th October 2019, in cooperation with National Security Network, SUE held the second meeting titled “Towards a Civic Constitution for Kurdistan Region” in the Cultural and Social Centre of the University.
Attended by a large number of dignitaries along with teachers and students, the University President Dr Ahmed Dezaye delivered a speech in which he shed light on the role of the university and higher education in redrafting KRG constitution. He commended the university teachers’ concern regarding the amendment of the constitution who have arranged a number of seminars, conferences and academic meetings, and have published research in this regard.
Dean of College of Law, Dr Kawan Ibrahim Ismaeel, on the other hand, mentioned that the constitution is the source for all the rules and regulations which need to paid utmost attention, particularly by the university instructors.
