Salahaddin University delegation with DAAD And Leipzig University
A delegation from Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) headed by the university president met with the officials of DAAD and Herder Institute at Leipzig University in order to support German language at SUE in terms of administrative, financial and academic progress.
Leipzig University in coordination with DAAD has had supported German Department at SUE for six years. Being the only German department in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, 77 students have graduated so far.
In the meeting, which lasted two days, it was decided that all the three parties will continue the academic cooperation until 2020 in which DAAD will support the department financially and Leipzig University will offer academic support including curriculum, teaching, teacher training, and student summer training in Germany; also, offering places of study to the students in Germany to pursue their master’s degree.
