
Salahaddin University in a carnival celebrating ranking success
Salahaddin University-Erbil celebrated its success in the Kurdistan Region university rankings in a carnival.
The carnival was attended by the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the advisor of the KRG Prime Minister Dilshad Shahab, Dr Ahmed Dezaye, Erbil Governor Nawzah Hadi, and KDP 2nd Branch Head Ahmed Kani, Ministry of Culture and Youth representative Salar Osman, university lecturers, students and other officials.
In the carnival, Dr Ahmed Dezaye and Dr Yousif Goran delivered speeches in which they congratulated the University and emphasising the importance of the ranking process in higher education. One of the developments which they highlighted was the publication of more research projects in the academic journals particularly those with recognised credentials.
Dr Goran said that Salahaddin University-Erbil has been able to see a lot of progress, and publish 449 researches, among which 151 in the journals which has been registered by Thomson Reuters and Scope. Thus, the university has been able to increase its Impact Factor to 918.
It is worth mentioning, Salahaddin University-Erbil was ranked among the best five students in the Kurdistan Region which was announced lately by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.
