On the occasion of the establishment of the Kurdistan Students Union and Kurdistan Democratic Youth Union, Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) President directs a message to the organizations.

"Dear students, I am happy and honoured to commemorate this historic day with you on this glorious and great occasion.
"On the occasion of 18 February and the 71st anniversary of the establishment of both the Kurdistan Students Union and the Kurdistan Democratic Youth Union, I warmly congratulate you.
"The historical legacy of the cadres of these two organizations is full of pride, sacrifice, and service. Throughout the history of your struggle, you have been an important part of the struggle of students and the youth.
"We must all adapt our working methods and thinking to the situation of our nation and help the government and academic and administrative institutions confront the misrepresentations and work for the success of the work and programs of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
"On this occasion, I would like to express my special thanks to the Secretariat of your unions, members, and cadres who constantly cooperate and coordinate to help the students.
"Students and youth, you are an energetic and proficient generation of our nation. I hope you will devote your efforts to the advancement of science and the development and reconstruction of Kurdistan in all areas of social, economic, and political life.
"On this great and pleasant day, let us reaffirm our pledge of love and loyalty to serve Kurdistan and the path of liberation of our people.
Finally, I wish you success and prosperity. I hope we all work together as an effective team to raise awareness and knowledge of young people."
