National universities rankings committees for 2018-19 academic year
Attended by the President of Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) Prof. Dr Ahmed Dezaye and Vice President for Scientific and Higher Education Affairs Prof. Dr Mustafa Al-Attar, SUE seven committees for national universities rankings met for the first time in the Cultural and Social Centre on Wednesday.
In the meeting, SUE president, first, expressed thanks to the committees of the last year, whose efforts and sense of responsibility have seen the University at the forefront of the national rankings.
Dr Dezaye also emphasized “we will work as one team to promote the SUE from group B to A. In order to do so,” he maintained, “we have to make preparations starting from now and in making progress we will face obstacles inevitably. But we will work to overcome the obstacles—to take another step forward in 2018-2019.”
Dr Al-Attar, on the other hand, assigned the members to each committee. He referred to the difficulties faced in the previous year, in order for the new team to avoid. The committees will meet on either weekly or monthly basis depending on their roles.
