University Council members, general directors at SUE with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
Attended by the University Council members, general directors at SUE, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was received at the University's cultural and Social Centre. In the meeting, they discussed the ministry plan for the next four years.
In the beginning, SUE president highlighted the importance of the initiative and dubbed it as an important step towards the success of higher education. He also highlighted the role of the University in KRI higher education which has been at the forefront for many years and it has become the birthplace of a good number of universities.
Later, SUE submitted the recommendations and suggestions to the Ministry for the next four years in the new KRG cabinet.
The president of SUE, Dr Ahmed Dezaye, presented requests to the cabinet that first the medical groups should be linked back to SUE. Also, the new campus of the University should be finalised.
Later, Dr Aram, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, expressed happiness for the opportunity to meet with the staff of SUE. He extended thanks to them for having supported the university, particularly during the recent economic crisis. He also said that the Ministry will do best to support the projects at SUE, including the request for a new campus, and the university should have an active role in implementing the vision of the Ministry in the new cabinet.
