Minister of Higher Education observes student admission process at Salahaddin University
In an official visit to Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE), the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and his delegation were received by the President of the University, Dr Ahmed Dezaye, at the General Registration Directorate, to closely observe the new students admission process at the University.
SUE president, having mentioned the importance of the University in the higher education process in KRI, expressed support for the student admission process at the KRG universities.
Afterwards, the Minister discussed this year’s plan for the admission process at the public universities. He expressed happiness to have been able to admit a larger number of students at public universities this year. Meanwhile, he expressed thanks to SUE for the constant support of the Ministry plans.
SUE, on the other hand, emphasized that the admission plans should reflect the needs of the public sector. He also commended the Ministry’s plan to decrease the tuition fees for parallel studies which has resulted in providing more opportunities for the prospective students.
