Message of the President of SUE on the occasion of the mass uprising in Erbil
"In the name of God, the Almighty, the Most Gracious.
"On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the mass uprising of Erbil, I extend my warmest congratulations to all the resistant people of Erbil and the heroic Peshmergas who sacrificed their lives for the country.
"The resilient people of Erbil have always stood against occupation and oppression and have not accepted subjugation. On 11 March 1991, they took to the streets alongside the brave Peshmergas and stood against the occupation and subjugation. With the strength and determination of steel, the capital of peace and coexistence cleaned up the city from the former Iraqi regime.
On this great occasion, I congratulate the honorable people of Erbil and pay tribute to the martyrs."
