
Iranian Universities Exhibition In Kurdistan Region
Attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Yousif Goran, and president of Salahaddin University-Erbil (SU) Dr Ahmed Dezaye, an exhibition of the Iranian universities in Erbil was launched which showcased the capability of the Iranian universities.
SU president delivered a speech in which he highlighted the positive relationship between SU and Iranian universities. He said this exhibition is an attempt to enhance the academic undertakings between the universities in order to promote higher education in the region. Having 33 Iranian universities in the region is a telltale of a positive academic exchange.
On the other hand, Dr Goran highlighted the importance of such exhibitions, and he said the positive relations between the Iranian universities and international universities will continue in order to promote education in the communities they exist. He said this exhibition would benefit the KRG universities in terms of academic exchange with Iranian counterparts.
Also, the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that following the Iranian Revolution, 2400 universities have been established so far in Iran and that the Iranian universities are at the forefront of the universities in the world, particularly in the fields of technology. Opening such exhibitions in the Kurdistan Region for Iranian and KRG universities would help accomplish academic success.
Finally, the representative of the Ministry of Science of Technology in Iran emphasised strong relations between the universities in terms of mutual academic projects, and explained the status of the Iranian universities in the world.
It is worth mentioning that 33 universities from Iran participated in the exhibition in which they presented research and expertise in humanities and scientific fields, in order for KRG universities pursue their higher education studies in those universities.
