On 15 February 2024, grants were awarded to students for their graduation projects and ideas in a conference titled “Investing in Students' Capacity”.
The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr Sharif Mawloud Sharif - Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr Shukr Qarani - Dean of the College of Engineering, Prof. Dr Nabil Adel - Director of Assurance Quality and Development of Programs, Dr. Mahabad Saadi - Director of Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, M. Hussein Ahmad - Director of Job Opportunities, Heads of Departments, Teachers and Students.
At the beginning of the conference, the Vice President of Salahaddin University-Erbil delivered a speech and said that this conference is to encourage teachers and students to conduct the best graduation projects with the help of supervisors, teachers, and the university to serve the country and the university in the future.
Of course, advanced and academic research, he believed, can solve problems that can be benefitted by the relevant authorities and used by the government to improve quality in various fields.
In another part of his speech, Dr Sharif said that he supports such conferences and academic and scientific competitions and will continue to support the students, teachers, and the university administration so that they can all work as a team to enhance the scientific and academic role of students and the university.
