
On 9 November 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr Samir Jawdat Bilal, Director General of the Scientific Research Centre, represented Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) at a special meeting of directors of active research centres in Iraq, held in Baghdad.
This scientific activity, titled "Research Centres: Present Status and Development Paths for Enhanced Service to Society and Government Institutions," was organized by the Inki Institute for Strategic Studies. The event featured participation from Iraq's most active and renowned universities and research centres across various specializations.
Notable attendee Mr. Ammar al-Hakim participated as a speaker at this scientific forum, where several important recommendations and conclusions were formulated.
The meeting emphasized the distinction between research centres and intellectual centres, highlighting the role of research centres as one of the most crucial factors in national development through conducting scientific research across various fields and formulating national strategic plans.
Several coordination committees and research groups were established to facilitate joint scientific work between universities and research centres.
