Dr Ahmed Dezaye with Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Dr Basheer Hadad
The President of the Salahaddin University-Erbil, Dr Ahmed Dezaye, welcomed the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Dr Basheer Hadad. In the meeting, in which the SUE vice presidents and deans were present, they discussed higher education in KRI and Iraq.
In the beginning, SUE president expressed thanks for the visit and he discussed higher education both in KRG in general and SUE in particular. Dr Dezaye also highlighted the progress the University has seen in KRI, Iraq and worldwide.
The President also mentioned the University campus. He said one factor to contribute to further success of SUE is the University campus. However, more effort is required to help finalise the campus project. Dr Dezaye requested the Deputy Speaker to exort efforts to help accelerate completing the campus, which will be an asset to higher education and the students in KRI.
Later, Dr Basheer Hadad expressed delight and said that it is an immense pride to have visited SUE. He reiterated that SUE has been at the forefront of research and study programmes and it has become a good example for the rest of other universities in Iraq.
He also promised to exort all efforts to relate the issue of SUE campus to relevant parties.
