Coucher Birkar pays visit to Salahaddin University
The President of Salahaddin University (SUE), Dr Ahmed Dezaye, welcomed the Kurdish scientist Coucher Birkar in his office in Erbil.
Dr Birkar has been awarded an honorary doctorate by SUE in a ceremony in which the KRG Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani were present.
Dr Birkar’s visit to SUE is to become further acquainted with the projects which he could conduct at SUE and Kurdistan Region.
The Kurdish scientist participated in a number of conferences and workshops in Kurdistan Region 10 years ago. He will stay in Kurdistan to further participate in academic conferences in order to contribute to higher education.
