Chinese new year ceremony held at Salahaddin University
Students and teachers of the Chinese Department at Salahaddin University-Erbil (SUE) arranged a ceremony to celebrate the Chinese new year in Kochar Birkar Hall of Cultural and Social Centre, at SUE.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Kurdistan Parliament Dr Hemin Hawrami, Chinese Consul General in Erbil Mr Ni–Ruchi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Aram Mohammed Qadir, Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw, Director of Branch Two of KDP Mr Ahmed Kani, President of SUE Prof. Dr Kamaran Younis Mohammedamin and a number of officials.
The participants delivered a number of speeches and highlighted the importance of such events. The ceremony also involved Chinese and Kurdish cultural activities.
