The University president Dr Ahmed Dezaye along with university presidents of Sulaimany, Duhok, Ishik, and Human Development, and the representative of Ministry of Higher Education in the KRG met with the UK Minister of State for the Middle East Alistair Burt, Vice-President of the UK ambassador in Iraq, Consul General and Director of the British Cultural Council in Iraq.
At the start of the meeting, the Higher Education Ministry representative hoped that this meeting will have useful outcomes for higher education in the universities of KRG and the UK.
Later, Salahaddin University-Erbi (SUE) Dr Dezaye shed light on the higher education process in the region and the positive changes it has experienced in the recent years, as SUE being part of that development.
Other university presidents also explained the vision and mission of their universities. The Minister of State, on the other hand, highlighted the importance of cooperation between the universities in the projects such as academic exchange, training, language courses, leadership programs and quality assurance.
SUE and Ishik University wrapped up the meeting with gifts presented to the Minister of State.
