Initiative of the Presidency of Salahaddin University-Erbil
Supporting Faculty, Staff, and Students through Discounts across Various Sectors
Introduction
Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kamaran Younis Mohammedamin, President of Salahaddin University, the SUID+ project has been proudly launched. The goal of this project is to provide exclusive discounts in the sectors of healthcare, general retail, restaurants, and cafes for all Salahaddin University ID holders, including faculty members, students, and administrative staff.
Project Name
SUID+, which stands for Salahaddin University Identity Plus, meaning: "Gain more benefits from your Salahaddin University ID."
Project Summary
As one of the most prominent and largest academic institutions in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, Salahaddin University is home to a massive community of over 30,000 faculty members, staff, and students. Through the SUID+ project, the university aims to leverage this collective strength by establishing partnerships—starting with healthcare providers, restaurants, and various retail markets. Through these partnerships, ID holders and their immediate family members (parents, siblings, spouse, and children) can benefit from university-exclusive discounts in the aforementioned fields.
Objectives
- Financial Support: Providing economic relief to the university community (students, staff, faculty, and researchers) to help reduce the cost of living, especially under current circumstances.
- Enhancing the University’s Role: Through this project, the university seeks to be an active part of society, paving the way for more diverse partnerships in the near future.
- Building Strong Relationships: Strengthening the bond between the university and various service-providing sectors.
Features of the SUID+ Project
- Beneficiaries: Only Salahaddin University ID holders and their immediate family members are eligible for this project.
- Implementation Mechanism: The university signs official agreements with "Second Parties" (healthcare providers and others) where specific discount rates are formally established.
- Non-Profit Project: The university does not receive any financial profit from the partners; the sole purpose is to serve the university community.
- Digitalization: The project will be digitized to ensure ease of use and quick identity verification.
- Monitoring and Quality Assurance: The university will continuously monitor partners to ensure they fulfill their commitments and provide services as agreed upon in the contracts.
