Welcome to the 44th Graduation Ceremony of Salahaddin University (SUE).
Dear Graduates, I am honoured to deliver the commencement address marking the success of this phase of your lives in front of you, our loved ones.
Today, 5,029 students proudly stand before their families and lecturers to receive their graduation degrees, following much hard work and dedication. In the future, they will serve their people and nation as opportunities arise.
The university graduation ceremony is one of the most prominent academic occasions presented to graduating students, and this event symbolises the recording of students' successes and their arrival at a new phase of life.
Through the efforts and tireless work of its administrative and academic staff and all its teams, SUE has successfully continued the educational process without interruption, despite the crises and difficulties faced by the Kurdistan Region.
SUE has become a vital coordination centre for identifying and resolving community issues, and for stepping forward to serve and facilitate government affairs through the execution of dozens of scientific and academic conferences.
Despite the financial crisis, in the recent past, we have successfully implemented dozens of projects and renovated laboratories and buildings through memoranda of understanding and joint work with private companies, organisations, and institutions, ensuring that the wheels of service continue to turn.
Currently, the student and staff exchange programme is at a high level. A number of postgraduate students, in coordination with high-ranking European universities, are conducting the practical aspects of their Master’s theses and Doctoral dissertations in advanced laboratories.
I cannot mention all the works and activities undertaken, but I am confident that you are all aware, near and far. Regarding rankings and scientific competitions, SUE has taken significant steps and experienced remarkable progress.
Congratulations on this graduating cohort to the esteemed lecturers, congratulations to the dear graduating students, and congratulations to the distinguished families of the graduates.
