Today, Tuesday 26th Jan. 2016, in Salahaddin University presidency office, Dr. Ahmed Anwer Dezaye the president of Salahaddin University welcomed a delegation of University of Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which consisted of Professor Dr. Said Hassan Saiden the president of the university and the accompanied delegation and the representatives of the Iranian Embassy in Baghdad and the Iranian Consulate of in Erbil.

In the meeting, in which Dr.Ibrahim Hamarash the Vice-President was present, the guest delegation were impressed by the progress of Kurdistan in general and Kurdistan universities in education field, that’s why they expressed their willingness for any scientific and medical support. Also in the meeting, the president of salahaddin university has expressed his happiness to the guest delegation in a scientific meeting in which they discussed the university duties and activities and how to develop the scientific level and academic relations between the two universities. For this reason, a scientific agreement has been signed between the two universities; also the University Science and Technology has showed enthusiasm to accept postgraduate and PhD students. On the other hand, the guest delegation expressed willingness to transfer the scientific projects from Tehran to Kurdistan. At the same time, in the College Of Science / Salahaddin University, the guest delegation performs a number of workshops regarding some projects of students and lectures of Salahaddin University.

It is worth mentioning that university of Science and Technology is one of the modern universities of Iran which was built in 1929 in Tehran and has a number of scientific projects in Iran. In the same day, the president of Salahaddin University welcomed Dr. Muhammad Ihsan the president of SABIS University in Hawler. They discussed the scientific conditions between the two universities to develop and progress science in all the fields.
