The Office of the President
The Office of the President at Salahaddin University-Erbil plays a pivotal role in supporting the University’s leadership and executive operations. The office is structured to ensure smooth coordination across academic, administrative, and strategic domains, and comprises several key positions:
- Director of the Office: Responsible for overseeing the administration, workflow, and operational efficiency of the President’s Office.
- Secretary of the University Council: Manages all affairs related to the University Council in collaboration with the President’s Office, including the preparation of official communications and documentation.
- Secretary to the President: Handles all matters directly concerning the President. This includes welcoming official guests, managing the President’s calendar, coordinating appointments, and handling confidential communications. The Secretary also processes incoming correspondence from colleges and external institutions, presenting key documents to the President. Additionally, a dedicated administrative committee operates under the President’s supervision to implement approved decisions.
The Office also manages communications on behalf of the University Council. Official letters are drafted by the Council Secretary and finalized in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Council decisions are disseminated to relevant university departments and academic units for implementation.
The President’s Office upholds the principles of transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity in all its functions. It maintains an open-door policy, welcoming lecturers, administrative staff, and students daily without discrimination. The office also plays a key role in forming and supporting various University committees aimed at promoting equity and institutional integrity.
