
As part of Salahaddin Entrepreneurship Education Centre Activities, A workshop under the title "Teacher Training and Development: Entrepreneurship and Diversity education" was held with the participation of a number of the colleges of basic educations of Sulaimani, Garmian, Raparin, Duhok( College of basic education-Amedi) Universities and Erbil polytechnic University.
During the first day, the training agenda was overviewed which was followed by a number of seminars in both, Entrepreneurship Education and Diversity Education. For Diversity Education Training, Mr. Nidham Hassan Rashid highlighted the history of the module. And then, he presented a seminar on "Diversity in Kurdistan Region". Finally, Mr. Rashid discussed the reasons why Diversity Education is necessary in Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
With regard to Entrepreneurship Education, Mr. Hewran Abdullah Saeed, the director of the centre, introduced the module and its history. The second section of the training included a seminar by Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Ali Hussein and Dr. Wala Dzayee where they discussed the concept of Entrepreneurship Education and its necessity. The final part comprised a seminar on the values and the risks of being an entrepreneur which was presented by Dr. Wala Dzayee and Ms. Payman Abdullah.
