Health and Safety Director (Assist. Prof. Dr. Media Noori Abdullah), Mr Faris Zaidan Jarjees (head of Environmental Unit at Salahaddin University-Erbil) and Dr. Dotsha Jalil Raheem (Lecturer at Salahaddin University-Erbil, Chemistry Department) successfully completed a training course entitled (Managing Safely and Working Safely) in Erbil on 23, 27 June 2018. The training course was approved and validated by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health in association with View Group for Training and Development. The attendants have received and awarded two certificates, Managing Safely and Working Safely, for attending the training course.

Health and Safety Directorate at Salahaddin University-Erbil in association with Environmental Unit held a workshop for heads and members of health, safety and environment unit. The workshop was about managing safely in workplace and it took place in Salahaddin Cultural Center for two days (25, 26 November 2018). It also was intended to improve health and safety system in colleges.

In second day, there was practical part by visiting the participants to the College of Engineering at Salahaddin University-Erbil. It was aimed to clarify how to run machines in a safe way as well as identified common hazards that associated with machines.
