On Monday, December 20, 2025, a symposium titled “Donald Trump’s Return to the White House: Continuation or Transaction in Foreign Policy” was held in the esteemed presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Kamaran Younis M. Amin, President of Salahaddin University-Erbil; Prof. Dr. Abdulqadir Naqshbandi, President of Lebanese French University (LFU); Asst. Prof. Dr. Sharif Mawlood Sharif, Vice-President of Salahaddin University-Erbil for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education; Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiwa Majid Khalil, Dean of the College of Political Science; Asst. Prof. Dr. Amin Faraj Sharif, Head of the Center for Political and Strategic Studies; alongside various government and parties officials, department heads, faculty members, and students. It is noteworthy that this symposium was organized by the Center for Political and Strategic Studies at the College of Political Sciences, Salahaddin University-Erbil, in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Research and Studies at the Lebanese French University.
Undoubtedly, hosting such activities represents a significant achievement for the Center for Political and Strategic Studies within the College of Political Science. Moreover, it contributes greatly to enhancing the university’s reputation and academic ranking. Furthermore, such activities can assist decision-makers in the Kurdistan Region in analyzing local, regional, and global events more realistically, thereby enabling the formulation of effective policies and strategies.
The symposium featured two panels, with the first panel titled “Donald Trump’s View of Middle East Issues.”
