
On February 26, 2025, a Workshop on Capacity Development Program was successfully conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdulkarim Yasin Karim, Dean of the College of Science. The Scientific Activities Committee organized the event in collaboration with the Career Development Committee (CDC) of the College of Science.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Shang Ziad, Assistant Dean; Prof. Dr. Abbas Burhan, Director of Quality Assurance; Lect. Hussein Ahmad Mustafa, Director of the CDC, Salahaddin University; Dr. Mohammed Ali, Head of the Department of Biology; as well as Laboratory Directors from Razgari, Raperin, Maternity, and Erbil General Health Laboratories.
The program featured two insightful seminars presented by Prof. Dr. Qareman Mama Khader Koyi, Chairman of the Summer Training Committee, and Assist. Lect. Chriska Nooruddin Ahmad, Decision Maker of the Department of Biology. Their discussions focused on essential skill enhancement and professional development guidelines, emphasizing strategies to bridge academic learning with practical expertise.
Additionally, two fourth-year students, Zeinab Abdulkhaliq Khattab, and Liqa Faridun Jarjis, shared their experiences from a one-month training program in Egypt, providing valuable insights into international training opportunities. The workshop concluded with a recognition ceremony, where awards were presented to outstanding students, supervisors, and directors of government laboratories in Erbil province, acknowledging their contributions to professional development and capacity building.
