On Thursday, February 13, 2025, the Department of Finance and Banking, in collaboration with the Career Development Center (CDC) at the College of Administration and Economics, organized a seminar on the role of private banks and foreign bank branches in creating employment opportunities for graduates. The event was attended by the head of the department, faculty members, and students. The seminar was presented by Assist. Lec. Evin Abdulqahar Abdulmajid and Assist. Lec. Media Salah Yaba, both esteemed members of the CDC. This initiative aligned with the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG8), which focuses on decent work and economic growth. During the session, the speakers emphasized the significant role of private banks and foreign bank branches in fostering employment opportunities for graduates. They also discussed practical mechanisms to integrate third-year Finance and Banking students into training and internship programs, equipping them with essential skills and experience for the job market.
