On April 24, 2025, the Water Resources Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Salahaddin University, held its inaugural exhibition of small-scale engineering models. The event featured a wide range of models addressing key areas in water and geotechnical engineering, including drainage systems, capillary rise, weirs, hydrology, soil improvement techniques, environmental sustainability, glass recycling initiatives, renewable energy solutions, and tunneling engineering.
Adding a creative dimension to the exhibition, paintings by first- and fourth-year students were also displayed, blending artistic expression with technical innovation. The exhibition not only showcased the students' creativity and technical expertise but also underscored the department’s commitment to fostering hands-on learning and encouraging innovation. This milestone event marked an important step in strengthening practical education and inspiring future advancements within the department.
