As part of the career development and entrepreneurship center’s (CDC) continuous efforts to strengthen labor-market readiness and accelerate human-capital development, Lect. Hussein Ahmad Mustafa, Director of the Center, represented both the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Salahaddin University at the workshop organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) from 24 to 26 November.
The workshop focused on developing a comprehensive guide for green professions in the Kurdistan Region and Mosul, grounded in a systematic identification of emerging green jobs and future workforce needs. Parallel to this effort, the sessions addressed the design of targeted training programs aimed at equipping graduates with the competencies required to access and excel in these green professions.
The event brought together representatives from the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs, Agriculture, and several private-sector companies, creating a collaborative platform to align policy, education, and industry toward a more sustainable and future-ready workforce.
