On the 8th February 2015 Dr. Muhammad Aziz, Director of Academic Relations, received MR. Donald Back, PhD student in Virginia Polytechnique University, he is also the Director of Language and Culture Centre in the same university. The meeting emphasized on higher education in Kurdistan Region in general and Salahaddin University in particular. His PhD is on:

"Planning Governates and globalization, higher education in developing countries and higher education in Kurdistan Region as a case study. How universities response to governers. The role of Evening classes education and external consulting in higher education. The link and response of Kurdistan universities to the private sectors and local markets. The importance of university internationalization to raise the level of graduates to the international standards. Curriculum development to the world standards. How the Kurdish universities manage administratively and financially( budget). The challenges facing Kurdistan universities and how to solve and overcome these challenges. How to solve the problem of displaced students from central Iraq and Syria. It is worth to mention that Mr. Donald Back in addition to be a Ph.D. student, he is also the director of Language and Culture of Polytechnic Institute and Virginia State University-USA."

In the meeting Dr. Muhammad Aziz highlighted various aspects of higher education and the role of Salahaddin University and thanked Mr. Back for doing his PhD on the Kurdistan Region.
