SU president, Dr Ahmed Anwar Dezaye, met with Katsumi Moriyasu, Japan’s Consul in Erbil, following the announcement of opening the Japan’s consular office in Erbil. Dr Dezaye wished success for Mr Moriyasu in his mission.
Dr Dezaye discussed how Japan can assist higher education in Kurdistan Region. Among the mutual undertakings, they mentioned opening courses of Japanese language in Language Centre of SU and the possibility of establishing Japanese Language Department at SU.
In the end of the meeting, Dr Dezaye presented SU gifts to the Consul which were SU logo and Erbil Citadel and Minaret photograph.
