During his participation in an academic meeting for the collaborative project of Erasmus Mundus of EU in Portugal, the president of Technical Institute of Lisbon University received the president of SUE, Dr Ahmed Anwar Dezaye. In the meeting, in which the assistant of the president of the institute and Director of Planning were present, SUE president gave a brief account of the history of Salahaddin University and higher education in KRG. On his part, the president of the institute showed the willingness to support SUE and higher education process in Kurdistan Region, particularly in the fields of engineering, dams, water resources, and design of sewage system. He also showed willingness for student and teacher exchange and undertaking collaborative research projects; for that reason, an agreement was signed between, and SUE officially invited the president of the institute to pay a visit to Kurdistan Region to be aware of the higher education system in KRG. Moreover, Lisbon University was invited to take part in two consecutive conferences in Erbil: dams and water resources conference and Erasmus Mundus meeting next year supervised by EU.
